The Marine Institute Case Study

The Marine Institute is the state agency responsible for marine research, technology development and innovation in Ireland. They provide scientific and technical advice to Government to help inform policy and to support the sustainable development of Ireland’s marine resource.

As well as handling the Wi-Fi needs of the The Marine Institute headquarters, VEI installed and maintains Ubiquiti Wi-Fi on board The Celtic Voyager and The Celtic Explorer research vessels. You can track their current location on the high seas their web site.

The Westwood Hotel, Galway

VEI delivered as a turnkey project, the phone system and Wi-fi for the Westwood and the WiFi for the Schoolhouse Hotel. The new IP enabled phone system facilitated cheaper calls using VoIP. The WiFi implementation enabled both hotels to improve their service to their clients and provide complete coverage throughout the hotel using VEI’s high density Wi-Fi solution.
