AudiCam at Sheehy Motors Naas

Sheehy Motors, Naas, and VEI have been working together to bring the best service possible to their customers in Kildare and the greater Dublin area. Taking the lead from Audi’s focus on trust, transparency and convenience, the roll out of Audi Cam across their workshop on the Newbridge Road is a great example of how technology can transform the relationship between businesses and their customers.

Now when a customer brings their car to Sheehy’s Audi Naas for service or maintenance if the Audi-trained technician finds an issue, they will make a quick video with commentary detailing the work that needs to be carried out as well as the costs involved. Within minutes the customer will receive an email containing a link to the video and a text message including a secure pin. The customer can give the go ahead, wherever they may be, secure in the knowledge that they understand the work involved.

Mr. Frank Kelly, Managing Director of Sheehy Motors. said: “The IT infrastructure in our showrooms and garages is maintained to the highest standard. We were confident when we first heard about Audi Cam that VEI would be able to support it without any fuss or impact on the day-to-day dealings of our staff.”

It was an interesting project for VEI engineer involved, not only because he got to check out the cars in the showroom.

“To ensure that coverage is not degraded by the movement and position of cars in the bays, a specialist survey was required to provide the necessary coverage across the workshop. This led us to implementing dual-radio access points to facilitate the tablet devices that record and relay back information to the customer via the Audi Cam platform.
