Wi-Fi Features

As part of our process for designing a new or updated wireless network, we perform a site survey, which typically includes the following steps:

1. Walk through

VEI will walk through the property to gather information for a proper installation.

2. Building layout and construction

During the property walk-through, our engineers will identify the layout of the building, as well as the type of construction, to aid in preparation for a proper installation.

3. Identification of potential difficulties

During the property walk-through, our engineers will identify potential difficulties that may hinder the installation process.

4. Location points

During the property walk-through, our engineers will identify favourable locations to install the necessary wireless networking devices.

5. Signal Coverage

During the property walk-through, our engineers will test the signal strength of access points to ensure proper cell coverage.

6. Design Layout

From the information gathered during the property walk-through, VEI will create a design layout of the AP locations and areas that need additional cabling. This will information is shared with customer when agreement is signed.
